Parakkadavu Panchayath consists around 35000 peoples. The headquater is at Moozhikulam. The main occupation is different types of cultivation. The main crops are coconut, and paddy . The only Lekshmi Temple in India is situated in this panchayath. The old Moozhikulam church, Elavoor Puthankavu Temole are in this panchayath. It is said that, Tipu Sultan made his war through this place. Chalakudy river flows in this panchayath,enrich the panchayath naturally.
